Industry 4.0 challenges us to re-invent our jobs

I write in CapX on June 30th 2015 about What will the fourth industrial revolution look like? Common platforms of communications will become increasingly important. A non-compliant link, such as an RFID tag that does not fit in, could break the whole chain. Will this mean increased control of contractors and subcontractors or better standards and just-in-time collaborations? It will play a decisive role if policy is geared towards being pro-business or pro-market. The outcome of the fourth industrial revolution is still as undecided as the content of the term itself.
